Acer reports January revenue of NT$24.4B (US$762.89M), representing

Revenue from IT products rise by 35.3% year-on-year

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (10 February, 2006) -- Acer announces the January financial figures with consolidated revenue of NT$24.4B (US$762.89M), marking 12.2% rise in terms of year-on-year growth or 3.1% from December 2005.  Revenue from the IT products business showed healthy year-on-year growth of 35.3%.

Acer demonstrated revenue increase across all regions; in particular, revenues from Pan America grew by 114.8%, China grew by 55.8%, and Asia Pacific grew by 47.4%.

According to the Q4 2005 preliminary data from Gartner Dataquest, Acer notebooks unseated Toshiba as the world's No. 3 vendor. 

Acer has set its 2006 financial forecast at NT$400B (US$12.42B) in consolidated revenue and NT$10B (US$310.56M) in profit after tax (PAT).
