Acer reports March revenue at NT$31.6B (US$973.51M) -- up 31.6% year-on-year

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (10 April, 2006) -- Acer announces the March consolidated revenue at NT$31.6B (US$973.51M), growing 31.6% year-on-year or 16.8% from February.  Revenues for March 2005 and February 2006 were NT$24.01B (US$739.56M) and NT$27.05B (US$833.39M) respectively.

The Q1 2006 (or January to March accumulated) revenue reached NT$83.05B (US$2.56B), demonstrating a rise of 26.4% from the previous year's NT$65.71B (US$2.02B), while slightly exceeding the first quarter's financial forecast.

The March revenue from Acer's IT product business grew by 33.6% year-on-year, while the Q1 2006 revenue rose by 35.7% year-on-year.

Acer's 2006 financial forecast are NT$400B (US$12.42B) in consolidated revenue, NT$10.8B (US$334.75M) in operating income, NT$10B (US$311.12M) in PAT.

• Acer Inc. consolidated revenue includes revenues from other companies in which Acer Inc. has 50% or more ownership, and already deducts any revenues between Acer Inc. and these companies to avoid double-counting.
