Acer presents a new line of PCs for gamers: Aspire PREDATOR G7200

Aggressive design, superior performance

Global Press Conference -- Budapest, 19 September 2008 -- Acer dedicates its new Aspire PREDATOR G7200 line of desktop computers to PC gaming enthusiasts. The new line is expressly designed for gaming users, who are notoriously demanding and tend to be knowledgeable about technology.

Acer's new Aspire PREDATOR G7200 desktop offers a great gaming experience for users who play games for the fun of facing challenges and overcoming limits that would otherwise be insurmountable: an original, aggressive chassis design conceals the latest generation technologies expert players demand for new intense challenges.

Radical design
Fans will appreciate the deep electric blue coloured chassis perfectly highlighting the power it encloses: the front of the body can be raised, accompanied by a world first optical bay mechanism to reveal a rewritable DVD and Blu-ray reader. The easily accessed USB and audio ports on top combined with a Multi-card reader are combined by incredible light effects created by red LEDs emitting from Predator's face.

Superior gaming
But the Predator's most striking feature is that you can have easy access to the Hard Disks via a special door on the lower front area of the chassis: the standard Acer Easy-swap Hard Drive solution makes up to four Serial ATA 3.0 GB/s high capacity hard disks removable even when the PC is turned on and in use. This rapid access and replacement of hard disks transforms the new Acer Aspire PREDATOR G7200 into an easily expandable, scalable platform. RAID 0, 1, 1+0 modes with AMD RAIDXpert technology guarantee the utmost data security in the event of disk failure and allow to easily configure your RAID set up even from a remote location. Depending on the model, a high speed Raptor 10.000 rpm hard drive offer exceptional performance especially when configured in its RAID 0 striping configuration.

But that's not all. The most original, advanced innovation lies within the PREDATOR and that is the cooling system: an aspect of essential importance to the most dedicated gamers who demand very high performance from their PC for hours on end. Depending on the model, the PREDATOR G7200 comes with a CPU liquid cooling system that guarantees perfect system stability without overheating even after overclocking and without compromising maximum possible performance. This state of the art cooling system is rated for 5.7 years of continuous operation without fear of pump failure or coolant evaporation.

The Aspire PREDATOR G7200 integrates the AMD Phenom™ 4X processor, designed to deliver the ultimate multitasking experience. The AMD Overdrive™ utility offers simple control over the process of overclocking allowing easy, real-time processor, memory and graphic settings adjustments. AMD OverDrive™ also includes a single-click performance tuning feature that optimizes the system performance automatically. In addition, the 2-way capable AMD 790X CrossFire motherboard offers 2 x 4870X2 2GB DDR5, 2 x ATI HD 4870 1GB DDR5 , one or two ATI HD 4850 512MB DDR3 graphic cards, depending on the configuration.
