Acer Aspire M7200 Desktop PC

Global Press Conference -- Budapest, 19 September 2008 -- Acer, the third largest vendor in the global PC market (source: Gartner data, 1H 2008) today presented the new Aspire M7200 desktop PC targeted towards multimedia home-users looking for a powerful multi-tasking system, with plenty of expansion and customization capabilities.
To enhance expandability and ensure more space for customization, the new Aspire M7200 comes in a full tower size. The new sleek black chassis, combined with the electric blue panel on the front and the shining metallic Acer logo, gives the Aspire M7200 a trendy and stylish look. The Aspire M7200 is a perfect combination of design and functionality. A multi-card reader and USB port bay pops up on the top of the case, ensuring ease of access and protection at the same time. Other USB ports, audio and video ports are hidden in a similar pop out module in the centre of the case for quick access.
A new, unique feature in the M7200 is the Media Control Interface which is placed on the front of the case above the optical drive bays and lights up with blue LEDs. The media console gives users quick, effortless access to menu navigation, volume and media controls. To easily increase the PC's storage capacity, a front-mounted door allows quick access to two tool-free non-proprietary hard drive hot swap expansion bays.
The wireless WLAN: IEEE 802.11b/g/n option provides an internal antenna routed to within the top of the case to ensure maximum range, performance and quality of wireless service.
Larger fans and an open base enhance ventilation and improve thermal throughput, while a neater cable-management makes the system more stable and reliable, thus reducing the need for assistance.
With the M7200 you can enjoy the best of multimedia, thanks to the to the High-definition audio with 7.1-channel surround sound, further enhance by the latest Dolby Home Theater®, that delivers crystal clear acoustics for a theatre-like entertainment experience. Moreover, the Aspire M7200 lets you take advantage of the latest digital technologies, as it is equipped with an HDMI port interface, that uses a single cable to transmit video and audio signal in an uncompressed format, a Blu-ray Disc[1], that delivers stunning high-definition images and videos, and the digital and analog hybrid TV-tuner[2], that lets you watch digital or traditional TV, record TV shows or capture videos.
Equipped with AMD Phenom™ processors, the Aspire M7200 lets you enjoy stunning digital media, engage in intense gaming, create advanced graphics or do serious multitasking with speed and efficiency. The AMD 780G Chipset with integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 graphics supporting Hybrid CrossFire technology, increases communications and graphics bandwidth and so delivers superior multimedia experience through DirectX® 10 support. Plus, the system offers discrete card support for ATI and NVIDIA® high-end extreme graphic cards.
With up to 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz of SDRAM with dual-channel support on four DIMMs, the M7200 can seamlessly manage all memory requirements for an efficient multitasking performance. Up to four Serial ATA hard disks each with up to 1 TB capacity provides all the storage space you need for your multimedia files, whereas an IEEE 1394 port, six USB 2.0 ports and a multi-in-one card reader let you connect all your devices with ease. The one touch smart copy button on the multi-in-one card reader enables a fast copy shortcut to place file exactly where you want them.
The Acer M7200 comes pre-installed with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium 32-/64-bit. Additional pre-installed software includes Acer Empowering Technology (eDataSecurity, eRecovery,eSettings Management); Acer Arcade™ Live¸Acer GameZone; Microsoft® Office 2007 Trial with Microsoft® Works 8.5; eSobi™; McAfee® Internet Security Suite 2008 (60-day trial); Adobe® Reader®; NTI Media Maker™.
