Acer K11 projector and Aspire 8943G notebook clinch Best Choice of Computex Awards; Timeline 3811T Series wins Green ICT Award


TAIPEI, TAIWAN (June 1, 2010) – With the ultimate goal of designing products that break the barriers between people and technology, Acer has captured three Best Choice of Computex Awards this year. The K11 projector and Aspire 8943G notebook won Best Choice awards, while the Aspire Timeline 3811T notebook earned a Best Choice of Green ICT Award.

Each year, the Best Choice awards select Taiwan's best IT products in the overseas market. While the Best Choice of Green ICT Award is bestowed to products that demonstrate clear efforts toward reduction/elimination of hazardous materials, green design as well as corporate environmental performance.

K11
The Acer K11 is the world’s smallest projector offering high brightness at 200 lumens. It is so small that it can even fit in a pocket! The Aspire 8943G notebook is a first-class multimedia center that delivers the ultimate Hi-Def personal-theater experience. It shines with an impressive 18.4" edge-to-edge full HD CineCrystal™ LED display and HDMI output, accompanied by eloquent Dolby® Home Theater v3 and Dolby®True5.1 surround sound. The innovative dual-mode touchpad can conveniently be switched between a multi-gesture touchpad and a media console, which launches the Acer Arcade Deluxe media suite and provides quick-access media controls for photos, music and video playback.

Aspire Timeline 3811T
The Aspire Timeline 3811T Series notebook is committed toward a better future, and made with materials free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and brominated flame retardants (BFRs), excluding the AC power cable. Along with excellent Hi-Def graphics and audio, it features eco-friendly production, Acer PowerSmart energy technologies and efficient recyclability. Timeline Series notebooks consume up to 40% less system-wide energy compared with traditional products. With this feature, a Timeline notebook holds more than 8 hours1 of battery life – giving users more time for unwired work and leisure.
