Acer first entered the world of MotoGP as Official Sponsor of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team in 2007. In 2009, under the company's new multi-brand strategy, the Acer Group announced that sponsorship of the Yamaha racing team would be transferred to the Packard Bell brand. Prior to the change, Acer carried out in-depth analysis of our various brands' positioning, identified diverse user segments, and defined the different brand value propositions.
