Employee Communication

Acer understands the importance of communication between the company and employees. Communication forms a channel to convey the company's objectives and practices, and in turn, helps the company understand the needs and thoughts of employees. This process helps establish common ground to build strong relationships and develop teamwork. Acer has a very open and innovative outlook on "communication" and has designed programs, such as the Gardener's Meeting, multilevel employee discussions, and business counseling services to achieve these objectives.
- Gardener's Meeting: a regular meeting set up by the headquarters, offering colleagues a chance to participate in the company's policy making operations and gather colleagues' opinions on how to improve the company. This provides a level platform for colleagues and the company to communicate and interact with each other. The main goal is to increase employee interaction, discuss employee relations, improve the work environment, heighten productivity, and uplift the company's operational efficiency.
- Multilevel Employee Discussions: Acer has organized multilevel employee discussions that offer employees the opportunity to directly communicate with upper level management. The goal of this approach is to more effectively channel the views of the lower ranks up to the managerial levels; assist employees with increasing efficiency and actualizing their potential, and also helping to train new employees.
Global Employee Opinion Survey
Global Employee Opinion Survey: The online Global Employee Opinion Survey is conducted on annual basis, which aims to explore the various aspects of the employees' experience working at Acer, including personal views and perceptions on jobs, working conditions and environment, organization efficiency, management and communications, quality and customer service, cost control, training, and company image, etc. Global HR will then go over the analyzed survey results, use the information to understand where attention is addressed, and further, make some essential improvement plan to senior management team for the overall Company.
