Dr. F.C. Tseng co-founded TSMC with Morris Chang in 1987 as a pioneer specializing in the "foundry only" semiconductor manufacturing business. He served at TSMC as President from 1998 to 2001, as Deputy CEO from 2001 to 2005, and as Vice Chairman from 2005 to June 2018.
Currently, Dr. Tseng is a Board Director of TSMC, Chairman of TSMC China Company Ltd., Chairman of Global Unichip Corp., and Vice Chairman of Vanguard International Semiconductor Corp. where he was President from 1996 to 1998. He also serves as Chairman of the TSMC Culture and Education Foundation, which is committed to promoting education and culture.
Dr. Tseng holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University and Honorary Doctorates from National Chiao-Tung University and National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
