Biodiversity is a precious natural asset and its protection is vital to ensure the long term health of the global ecosystem and the survival of life on this planet. Acer’s major global operations sites are located in science and technology parks and general office buildings, none of which are operating near the sites containing important or critical biodiversity. Nonetheless, to know more about the possible impact that our operations may cause to biodiversity, we are committed to:

• Ensure that all of our businesses comply with all global, national and local laws of biodiversity.
• Choose appropriate tools to assess the biodiversity-related risks of all of our operating sites.
• Encourage our suppliers to assess the biodiversity-related risks of their operating sites, and to adopt necessary measures (e.g. avoid, minimize, restore & offset) when operating in areas in close proximity to critical biodiversity, biologically diverse ecosystems and habitats to minimize the negative impacts and promote positive impacts.
• Seek opportunities with partners to reduce biodiversity damage

Goals in 2022
• Choose appropriate tools to assess the biodiversity-related risks of all of our operating sites.
• Communicate the importance of biodiversity to suppliers and encourage them to conduct biodiversity risk assessments for their sites of operation.
• Include biodiversity as one of the themes in Acer Global ESG Project Awards.
